Polish History / Polish American Experience
For eight weeks, we will explore not only the history of Poland but also our ancestral roots, the stories of immigration, our culture and traditions as preserved in the USA and the history of the Polish Community in the USA with emphasis on Detroit/Hamtramck

Pisanki Workshops
The art of "pisanki" is a traditional folk art involving the decoration of eggs by the wax-resistant method. It is an art form that has been cultivated in almost all of the countries of Eastern Europe. Each country has it own style, colors, designs and patterns; this makes the folk art one of the most colorful and unique in Europe.
We will provide the stylus and wax (yours to keep after the workshop). Dyes will be ready for your use.
All supplies for further activities at home can be purchased at our gift shop at 23801 Gratiot (Gratiot Office Bldg. next to Semrau Nursery) in Eastpointe. Our phone number: 586 - 778-9766.
Classes are held in the Old Historic Halfway School House at 15500 Nine Mile Rd. (west of Gratiot) in Eastpointe
Polish Embroidery (Motifs and Styles of the Kashubian Region)
We will supply individuals with the information and costs in the near future. The days will be Tuesday evenings at our center at 23801 Gratiot in Eastpointe. If the number of interested parties is greater than anticipated, the course will be moved to the Old School House in Eastpointe. You are not required to attend when checking the box as an interested party.
Polish Cooking (The Art of Chruszcziki - Angel Wings)
One evening class to be announced. It will be held at a private home in St. Clair Shores. If you are interested, it does not mean that you are required to attend. You will be informed as to the date, and then may decide whether or not you would like to attend.
Additional classes will follow according to level of interest.
